The mobile cone crusher operates on the principle of laminated crushing. The electric motor drives the eccentric sleeve to rotate through a belt drive and coupling, causing the main shaft to oscillate and move the crushing cone closer to or farther away from the fixed cone in a periodic motion.
When the crushing cone approaches the fixed cone, the gap narrows. Material in the crushing chamber is subjected to compression, bending, and shearing forces. The laminated crushing design means material is crushed not only by the cone surfaces but also by pressure between particles themselves, significantly improving efficiency and producing uniform particle shapes with excellent cubicity.
When the crushing cone moves away, the gap widens and crushed material meeting size requirements falls by gravity. This cycle repeats continuously.
The mobile cone crusher features automatic discharge opening adjustment for precise product size control. If uncrushable material such as tramp iron enters, the spring or hydraulic release system allows the cone to lift temporarily, letting the object pass without damage, then automatically returns to normal position. The hydraulic cavity cleaning system quickly clears blockages, minimizing downtime. This makes the mobile cone crusher ideal for secondary and fine crushing in mining, aggregate production, and recycling.
